倒數第二天 Just two more days

Just two more days before wedding. We will be heading to our own parents' home tomorrow for wedding eve. So after dropping off most things at Arcadian Court today, Ka and I decided to go out for a dinner date to celebrate our last days of single life. We went to Baskin Robins to have a nice ice cream first, and then went to a really nice steak house (The Braised Bull) for a nice juicy T Bone Steak! Sooo Yummy.

Just 2 more days till the wedding. We certainly are ready!

倒數第三天

今日Ka就四出奔跑. 買睡衣, 買wedding用的物品, 接機又再接機... 他回家還為我帶回黑加崙子糖. (不過他還未回家我已猜到他會這樣做了. 不知是我太過了解他還是他太transparent.)

我每一次做papers或溫書, 都要有黑加崙子糖. Ka今天忙着買東西時都不忘買筒回家. Thank Q hun! =*:

倒數第四天

今天開始放假. 我們可productive呢. Final fitting for evening dress, 拿了engagement photo (嘩! 好大張!) + guest book, 到醫院探Ka's daddy, fit了伴娘裙, 拿到了褂睡衣 (Thank you Vikki and Jenn to get that for me from HK!! 好靓, 我好鐘意呀!), 跟Vikki晚餐, 把slideshow交了給我們的DJ (Thanks Billy!). 清理了屋企一番, 又準備了些Thank You cards.

昨晚我弄了個我很喜歡的Gift Box. 原本可以借朋友的, 但後來online見到個很可愛的Gift Box, 所以自己又試試DIY. 都幾cute架.今晚... 今晚要做paper. 2 more that are due tomorrow.

Less than 1 week to go!

Less than 1 week to go. Just a quick update on the bride-to-be and groom-to-be.

At 2:00am, both of them are still awake. SHE just finished working hard on her MBA essay #2, HE is playing on HER new NDS so she won't get a chance to play it. THEY both ate a lot of snacks and sugar tonight so SHE could stay awake for her paper. (That explains why SHE is still blogging at this time.)

Walking Down the Aisle

我們昨晚在家進行了個簡單而搞笑的婚禮彩排. (We have decided to do it on our own since we won't be able to gather everyone together.) 媽媽扮演officiant, 我也客串扮演maid of honour and 花仔花女.

當然其中一樣要彩排的是我嗲o地怎樣拖住我walk down the aisle. 對上一次何時拖住嗲地已經不記得了. 一定有二十多年沒拖過我爸爸吧. 媽媽常笑說我小時後出街一定拖住嗲地 (像知道誰知道那裡有好地方玩般).

我的童年很愉快. 因為我有一個會拖住我四處去的爸爸. 他放工會帶我們去球場踢波, 去游水. 週末又會帶我們去圖書館, 去遊車河. 到大了出來工作才發覺小時後很多東西都take for granted. 真的不是每個父親都能放這麼多時間跟子女玩.

嗲地從未試過向我們發無理的脾氣. 每次我們做錯事他都會慢慢的跟我們說道理. 聽的時候我都覺得很囉唆. 大了當然就明白父親的苦心, 但更加敬佩的是他那份耐性及consistency. 我小時後的趣事實在太多太多圍繞着我嗲地. 但因為我還未知到我會用那一個做我的wedding speech, 所以暫時不提了.

婚禮當天不知道嗲地拖住我進場的時候心裏會想甚麼呢? 會百般滋味在心頭? 會為我感到驕傲? 會想起我小時候的故事? 還是會太緊張而只顧"1-2-1-2"的數一步步? :)

Helpers Meeting

"貴人出門招風雨", 我說"貴人嫁娶招風雪"就真. Toronto已經幾年沒有十二月落大雪, 今年居然十二月一號就snow storm. 10cm雪, 又freezing rain. 希望wedding當天風和日麗就一定沒可能, 希望不要snow storm 吧. 真的不想我們的guests要stuck in traffic.

雖然外邊的路像溜冰場般滑. 雖然冷得要命, 但絕對蓋不住我們一眾wedding helpers的熱情! GM described一次我們的schedule. 大家也大概picture到當天的流程了. 我間直覺得我們的helpers team is a Super All Stars Helping Team. 個個都是醒目仔醒目女.

The Sweetest Girls Night Out

From this photo (and the time I am blogging), you can tell I had fun tonight again! Vicky and work friends organized a bridal shower for me.

We used marshmallows to make wedding cakes and yummy chocolate chip cookies!! (A lot of the ingredients went into my tummy. Sweeeeet~~ May be that's why I am still awake at 5:16am.) The girls even made a ginger bread house for me! 1 Ka and 1 Corrie, with 4 kids. They look a bit strange.. (Most of them you can't tell their gender.)

Then we chatted till 3:30am about many many things. Who said we need to go clubbing or hire a stripper to have a fun bridal shower? Just good friends who can share a great conversation - that makes the best party.

P.S. The bridal shower theme really matched with my theme colour. :P
